The Kostrey Collection believes that changing the world begins in our own neighborhoods. We are passionate about the communities we live in and are dedicated to supporting organizations that make a difference in them. The Kostrey Collection started We Heart Mid-City LA to do just that. With every closed transaction, we pledge to donate $250 to a charity of your choice. Since our launch in January of this year, we have donated over $3,500 to charities of our clients’ choosing.
Below are some of our local community favorites:
West Adams Heritage Association
Besides the goal of preservation of the community’s architectural heritage WAHA also supports beautification activities, block club initiatives, neighborhood councils within the West Adams network and in addition seeks to educate Los Angeles’ citizens as well as others about the area’s cultural heritage and about possible restoration techniques.
The LA Conservancy works to preserve the historic places that make LA unique. Through education and advocacy, they raise awareness of historic places, prevent their needless demolition, empower people to save the places they love, and foster strong preservation laws and incentives.
The Advot Project
The Advot Project’s mission is to empower girls and young women, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, to take control of their destiny by teaching them communication skills and healthy relationships through the arts. They work in juvenile detention centers, local high schools, community centers, and at Homeboy Industries.
